The Channahon Fire Protection District is made up of full time personnel as well as volunteers. If you are interested in a part time position covering vacation time and other days off, fill out the application and return it to the Fire District along with a copy of the following:

• IDPH Paramedic License

• Current Healthcare Provider CPR Card

• Firefighter II or III Certificate issued by the Illinois State Fire Marshall

• Hazardous Materials Certificate (Awareness or Operations) Issued by the State Fire Marshall

You can fill out your application for part-time online, or print it and send it in, or stop by the station to pick up your application.

We are always looking for hard-working individuals to volunteer. Volunteers do not have to have prior experience.  To be a volunteer you will be subject to a physical including drug testing and a criminal background check.
